Job Description

Job Description: As the Senior Director of Procurement you will be responsible for establishing and leading our procurement function, developing procurement strategies, implementing processes, and managing procurement activities. Your extensive experience in building procurement functions from scratch, coupled with direct procurement experience in the hardware or software categories, will be instrumental in your success. Key Responsibilities: Establish Procurement Function: Build and structure the procurement department, including developing a procurement team, defining roles, and establishing procurement policies and procedures. Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives, focusing on hardware and software categories. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability. Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements. Process Implementation: Design and implement end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier selection, purchasing, and contract management. Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction initiatives, conduct spend analysis, and implement best practices to achieve cost savings. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to legal requirements, industry regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate procurement risks. Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance and make data-driven decisions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including Finance, Legal, and IT, to align procurement strategies with business goals. Supplier Relationship Management: Foster strong partnerships with key suppliers to drive innovation and ensure long-term value. Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). A minimum of 12 of experience in procurement leadership roles, with a proven track record of building procurement functions from scratch. Strong expertise in direct procurement within hardware and software categories. In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and contract negotiations. Experience with procurement software and tools. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change. Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) are a plus.
