Job Description

Established Dallas Energy investment company is looking for an experienced Land Tech. Will lend expertise to the firm’s midstream strategies, along with asset acquisition, divestiture and management services in support of the firm’s mineral and non-operated fund complexes and its upstream operated strategy. This position is full time in office but will allow some flexibility on daily work schedule. This is a very reputable organization and a great opportunity to work different types of assets: non-op, minerals and operated!

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with land-related inquiries and concerns, and facilitate the preparation of standard periodic reports on payments and acreage information
  • Support the review and monitoring of leases and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Organize and maintain land documentation
  • Assist with resolving title issues and handling questions related to asset acquisitions and divestitures, including preparing and analyzing Division Orders and Transfer Orders
  • Conduct due diligence on assets by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve and clear title issues
  • Process non-operated well elections and Authorization for Expenditure requests
  • Prepare conveyances for official recording

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Energy Management or Petroleum Land Management
  • 1-3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a land analyst, lease analyst, division order analyst, landman or similar role
  • Understanding of land leasing processes, regulatory requirements, and oil and gas industry standards
  • Proficiency in managing surface, mineral, royalty, and leasehold title matters
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Experience with Quorum On-Demand Land (a plus, but not required). Experience with SQL Server and Microsoft Access (a plus, but not required)
