An O&G company in the North Dallas (Plano/Allen/Frisco) area is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to assist the Accounting Team by owning the revenue process while supporting other accountants. The ideal candidate must have the flexibility to adjust to an ever-changing, fast-paced environment and the ability to multi-task is critical. This role will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Duties include:

• Assist with design of revenue process and documentation of procedures.
• Record sales of natural gas.
• Execute scheduled monthly revenue payment processing to print, mail checks, and generate check register.
• Provide guidance and support to Junior Accountant.
• Monitor and analyze monthly revenue and sales volumes.
• Prepare analysis of forecasted price and volumes to actuals.
• Coordination with engineering regarding production variances and data.
• Contact operators to resolve questions or issues.
• Provide support for coding and entering revenue checks.
• Monitor and maintain cash clearing and revenue suspense.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between accounting system and revenue checks.
• Review and reconcile monthly filing of regulatory reports.
• Generate monthly revenue accruals and reconcile all assigned accounts.
• Assist with the monthly closing process and preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Assist with accumulation of annual production data for reserve reports.
• Work with Owner Relations to assist with inquiries concerning revenue issues.
• Provide supporting schedules and explanations to external auditors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic objectives.
• Complete ad hoc projects and reporting upon request.

Qualifications include:

• Experience with oil and gas revenue accounting, required.
• Experience with filing reports with regulatory agencies.
• Degree in Accounting (preferred), or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Oil & Gas Industry Experience (5+ Years).
• Experience with PakEnergy WolfePak or Quorum, preferred.
