Job Description

A strong publicly traded Oil &Gas Producer is looking for an experienced Environmental & Air Specialist.  This role will primarily oversee air permitting projects from conception through completion throughout the Rockies. You will also partner with a broader team to help implement new programs across the organization. Responsibilities include:
  • Drive a culture of stewardship, continuing to earn the stakeholder’s trust by ensuring the company operates safely and responsibly.
  • Title V and New Source Review Permitting – determine permitting mechanism for new projects and complete permitting for new and modified oil and gas facilities.
  • Regulatory Analysis – complete regulatory analyses to determine how a rule applies to new and modified oil and gas facilities.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and assessments to track air, water, and soil quality around production facilities and operations.
  • Prepare environmental permits and reports to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct environmental audits and assessments.
  • Provide environmental training and awareness to the employee population.
  • Stay updated on environmental regulations.
  • Manage and investigate environmental incidents.
Qualifications include:
  • Well-versed in environmental and air regulations in Wyoming, typically gained through several years of permitting and environmental compliance experience. Working knowledge of state and federal regulations that impact the oil and gas industry. Air/Flyover experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills using simulation programs including PROMAX, GRI-GLYCalc, and AMINECalc. Must also have proficiency in Microsoft office suite, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Utilize applicable databases and software (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) to complete work assignments.
  • While experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, a bachelor’s degree is typically a requirement for this role. Education specific to environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to travel and physically work at job sites (plants/facilities/pads/etc.).
