Job Description

A private upstream company is looking to add a Senior Operations Accountant to its Fort Worth, TX office.  This position will be responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions and providing financial expertise for operations.  Duties will include financial reporting, general ledger management, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, auditing, and external reporting. Hybrid schedule. 

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Accounting, finance, or a related discipline preferred. 
• Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the natural gas industry or a related field. Prior experience in senior accounting roles or a supervisory capacity is beneficial.
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, including regulatory requirements, trends, emerging issues and operating processes strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office, accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools and technologies. Experience with Enertia, P2 Merrick, and Power BI is a plus.
