Job Description

Successful privately-held O&G midstream company is looking for an experienced HSE Lead to ensure that all operational matters relative to HSE are performed in accordance with all appropriate regulatory agencies. Position is accountable for maintaining safety programs to minimize and reduce the severity of accidents and injuries. Under general supervision, ensures compliance with applicable standards, laws, and regulations. Midland, Texas location. Opportunity to join an established growing company!

Responsibilities include:
•    Provide daily safety oversight to on-going construction and daily field and plant operations
•    Provide cost effective Safety guidance and recommendations to Operations 
•    Develop, gather and maintain Safety data for routine safety reports and regulatory documents
•    Participate, document, & coordinate Safety incident investigations, Safety Reviews, and training sessions
•    Assist field personnel to maintain contractor compliance with company EHS Standards
•    Participate in JSA’s and field/facility inspections
•    May represent the Company in trade associations to promote the Company’s position related to Safety and learn about other companies’ activities that may benefit the Company
•    Assist in auditing contractor Safety performance, policies, and standards
•    Oversee contractors conducting EHS field activities
•    Interface with federal and state/province agencies, i.e., TXRRC, TCEQ, OSHA, EPA, DOT, state/province Environmental/Safety Agencies, etc. as required
•    Coordinate, attend & facilitate safety meetings and training

Qualifications include:
•    Bachelor's degree in an EHS related field preferred, and 5+ years related industry experience
•    Must have advanced knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulatory rules and guidelines governing oil and gas operations.
•    CPR and First Aid certified
•    Midstream Oil and gas industry experience preferred
•    Practice safe work habits at all times
•    Advanced level computer skills
•    Able to travel as required
•    Ability to Support PSM required activities
•    Good understanding of data analysis and risk assessment
•    Good organizational, leadership and motivational skills
•    Strong communication skills
•    Ability to provide detailed reports and develop safety procedures
•    Work indoors and outdoors in and around industrial and electrical equipment
•    Wear special safety equipment (PPE) while working
