ERP Data Analyst

Position Overview

• We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an ERP Data Analyst to improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of its business data.
• This individual will work closely with technical and business teams to identify data issues, improve processes, and help the organization make better use of information across its ERP environment.
• The ideal candidate enjoys investigating complex data problems, identifying root causes, and developing practical solutions. While the initial focus will be on data quality and process improvement, this position offers the opportunity to grow into more advanced analytics, automation, and AI-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve data quality, integrity, and consistency issues within the ERP environment.
• Identify root causes of data issues and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurring problems.
• Partner with Business Analysts, Developers, and operational teams to improve data processes and workflows.
• Extract, analyze, and validate data from ERP systems and other internal sources.
• Develop KPIs to measure and monitor data quality, accuracy, and overall data confidence.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar visualization tools.
• Support data governance initiatives, including standards, documentation, and process improvements.
• Audit and validate data following system migrations, updates, and data corrections.
• Analyze business and operational trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate technical findings and actionable recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Explore opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and advanced analytics as the organization's data environment continues to mature.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, data quality, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction, analysis, and validation.
• Hands-on experience identifying, investigating, and resolving data quality issues.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise data environments.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working with imperfect data, investigating problems, and recommending solutions.
• Interest in developing skills in advanced analytics, data modeling, automation, and AI.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ERP platforms such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.
• Background in manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, or operations environments.
• Exposure to data governance, master data management, or ERP data migrations.
• Experience with Python or R for data manipulation, automation, or analysis.
• Practical experience or personal projects involving AI, predictive analytics, or data modeling.
