POSITION OVERVIEW

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday; travel as needed
Hire Type: Direct-hire, full-time

CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client is a Texas-based electrical contractor with nearly 30 years of operation, built around long-term client relationships and a reputation for delivering on the most complex greenfield industrial construction projects in the country. Their portfolio spans oil and gas, data centers, semiconductor facilities, industrial water, and power infrastructure. Their field operations are led by a loyal network of experienced superintendents, and their leadership team is grounded in the same values: relationships first, accountability throughout.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide senior-level oversight across all active projects, ensuring consistency in execution, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Partner with ownership to drive operational strategy, project selection, and team development
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers across the portfolio, building depth in the project management function
  • Serve as an escalation point for project issues, client concerns, and cross-functional coordination
  • Establish and refine operational standards, reporting processes, and project controls
  • Support business development by maintaining key client relationships and contributing to pursuits
  • Evaluate staffing needs across projects and coordinate with field leadership on resource planning
  • Drive continuous improvement in how the organization manages schedule, cost, and risk

REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical construction with a minimum of 5 years in senior project leadership
  • Deep background in large-scale greenfield industrial construction (oil and gas, data centers, semiconductor, power, or industrial water)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop project management teams
  • Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing large project portfolios
  • Excellent communication skills with both field leadership and executive-level clients
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a Director, VP, or Senior PM role at an industrial electrical contractor
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience managing project portfolios in excess of $200M in annual volume
