Project Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Location: Houston, TX (or Project-Based, depending on candidate)
Schedule: Monday-Friday; travel availability required
Role Type: Direct-hire, full-time

CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client is a Texas-based electrical contractor approaching 30 years in business, with a focused specialty in greenfield industrial construction -- oil and gas, data centers, semiconductor facilities, industrial water, and power infrastructure. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage full project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout on large-scale greenfield electrical construction projects
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, and scope, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within cost
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, field superintendent, and internal leadership
  • Lead subcontractor coordination, procurement, and vendor management
  • Review and manage project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Monitor job cost reporting and identify variances early to protect project margins
  • Support business development efforts through strong client relationship management
  • Coordinate with superintendents on manpower planning and resource allocation

REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • 3+ years of project management experience in electrical construction
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale industrial or greenfield projects ($50M+)
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC, and construction project controls
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and project teams
  • Excellent client communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in project management and job cost software

Preferred:

  • Experience in oil and gas, semiconductor, data center, or industrial water construction
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • PMP certification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with large W2 craft labor workforces
