Litigation Legal Secretary
Position Overview
A leading regional law firm with offices throughout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia is growing its litigation team in the Pittsburgh region. This position is being offered on a temp-to-hire basis, with the potential for direct hire for the right candidate. The role is full-time and on-site at their Southpointe office in Canonsburg, PA.
Salary: Based on Experience
Location: Canonsburg, Pennsylvania (Southpointe)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities
- Support multiple litigation attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and trials
- Draft and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and court filings
- File and e-file documents with courts, maintaining accuracy and meeting all deadlines
- Open and close legal matters in the firm's case management system
- Manage e-discovery processes and maintain organized case files and indexes
- Answer phones, schedule meetings, and calendar deadlines for a busy litigation team
- Handle copying, scanning, and incoming and outgoing mail
Requirements
Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other standard office software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities under pressure
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Must pass all required background checks, including criminal
Preferred:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting a litigation practice
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and e-discovery processes
- Prior experience opening and closing legal matters
