Project Coordinator, US Gas Projects (In-Line Inspection)
Position Overview
Join a leading natural gas pipeline operator as a Project Coordinator supporting their US Gas Projects In-Line Inspection (ILI) program. This role keeps field execution moving safely and on track, coordinating smart pigging, maintenance pigging, and chemical cleaning programs across a broad regional footprint. It's a strong fit for someone early in their career who's ready to work across multiple teams, get into the field, and grow into a deeper technical role.
Location: Charleston, WV (alternate locations may be considered)
Schedule: Full-time; extended hours and travel within North America required
Employment: 2-year contract
Compensation: Based on experience
Responsibilities
- Support field implementation of the ILI program and coordinate day-to-day field activities
- Partner with Regional Operations, Gas Control, Pipe Integrity, Operations Planning, Commercial Operations, Land, Engineering, and the Internal Pigging Group to keep projects aligned
- Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors in the field as needed
- Manage scheduling and coordination with regional teams
- Conduct technical analyses and prepare recommendations
- Perform preliminary facility inspections to support program design (launcher/receiver installations, project scoping)
- Track daily costs and schedule manpower
- Maintain documentation and provide daily reporting
- Support procedure development and contingency planning
- Identify training needs for ILI Project Coordination
- Provide mentorship to regional ILI Coordinators when needed
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
Required:
- 1 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Demonstrated project coordination and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Valid passport and willingness to travel within North America
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and field environments
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (Technical Diploma or Certificate considered; equivalent combination of education and experience also considered)
- Progressive operations experience and pipeline design/construction background
- Gas handling and survey experience
- Strong computer literacy
