Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker to join a high-performing millwork team producing custom, commercial-grade cabinetry and architectural woodwork. If you can read a drawing, run a shop, and build something worth being proud of — we want to hear from you.
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Location: Lawrence, PA
Schedule: Two shifts available:
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm
- Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–12:30am
Client Overview
Our client is an established millwork and custom woodworking company specializing in high-end commercial interiors. They build everything from custom cabinetry and bars to wall panels, running trim, and architectural beams — all to precise specifications. Their shop is team-oriented, quality-driven, and consistently in demand. This is a place where skilled tradespeople are genuinely valued, not just put to work.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and hand tools to fabricate cabinets, bars, furniture, and architectural millwork
- Study construction drawings and plan the sequence of cutting, shaping, and assembly operations
- Mark dimensions and match materials for color, grain, and texture to ensure visual uniformity
- Trim component joints for snug fit; bore holes for screws and dowels by hand or machine
- Glue, fit, clamp, and fasten parts and subassemblies into complete finished units
- Sand and prep surfaces and joints for finishing; install hardware including hinges, catches, and drawer pulls
- Create shipping checklists for job site deliveries and track backordered items within work orders
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment and report safety concerns, machine issues, or drawing discrepancies to the department supervisor
Requirements
Required:
- 5+ years of cabinet making or commercial millwork experience
- Ability to read and work from detailed construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with standard woodworking machines and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces, bend, kneel, and carry 25+ lbs
- Reliable communication skills and ability to meet project deadlines
- Willingness to work overtime as project schedules require
Preferred:
- Experience in commercial millwork or high-end custom woodwork environments
- Familiarity with job site shipping coordination and work order management
