Job Description

Cabinet Maker

Position Overview

Do you take pride in craftsmanship and have the skills to back it up? We're looking for an experienced Cabinet Maker to join a high-performing millwork team producing custom, commercial-grade cabinetry and architectural woodwork. If you can read a drawing, run a shop, and build something worth being proud of — we want to hear from you.

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Location: Lawrence, PA
Schedule: Two shifts available:

  • Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm
  • Night Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–12:30am

Client Overview

Our client is an established millwork and custom woodworking company specializing in high-end commercial interiors. They build everything from custom cabinetry and bars to wall panels, running trim, and architectural beams — all to precise specifications. Their shop is team-oriented, quality-driven, and consistently in demand. This is a place where skilled tradespeople are genuinely valued, not just put to work.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and hand tools to fabricate cabinets, bars, furniture, and architectural millwork
  • Study construction drawings and plan the sequence of cutting, shaping, and assembly operations
  • Mark dimensions and match materials for color, grain, and texture to ensure visual uniformity
  • Trim component joints for snug fit; bore holes for screws and dowels by hand or machine
  • Glue, fit, clamp, and fasten parts and subassemblies into complete finished units
  • Sand and prep surfaces and joints for finishing; install hardware including hinges, catches, and drawer pulls
  • Create shipping checklists for job site deliveries and track backordered items within work orders
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment and report safety concerns, machine issues, or drawing discrepancies to the department supervisor

Requirements

Required:

  • 5+ years of cabinet making or commercial millwork experience
  • Ability to read and work from detailed construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with standard woodworking machines and hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces, bend, kneel, and carry 25+ lbs
  • Reliable communication skills and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Willingness to work overtime as project schedules require

Preferred:

  • Experience in commercial millwork or high-end custom woodwork environments
  • Familiarity with job site shipping coordination and work order management

Benefits

  • Competitive wages based on experience
  • Health benefits
  • 401(k)
  • Stable schedule with shift flexibility (day or night)
  • Collaborative, quality-focused shop environment
