CDL Driver — Equipment Hauling
Position Overview
We've got a 2009 Peterbilt that needs a driver who knows how to handle it — step deck, flatbed, heavy equipment, the whole picture. This is oilfield hauling work in southwestern PA and within about 150 miles of Washington. You'll be home every night, and there's real overtime opportunity for the right person.
Pay: $25-$30/hour — based on experience Location: Washington area, PA | Within ~150 air miles
Schedule: Day shift | 40 hrs/week | Strong overtime opportunity
Start Location: Varies by job — typically assigned at dispatch
Company Overview
A regional oilfield services operation working across southwestern PA and surrounding areas. All the work is energy sector — pads, equipment moves, materials, and more. Seasonal in nature, with the busiest seasons running spring through fall.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 2009 Peterbilt semi hauling equipment, materials, and supplies to and from oilfield job sites
- Load and haul using step deck and flatbed configurations
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations before departure
- Coordinate daily dispatch and communicate proactively on job status and timing
- Maintain driver logs, inspection records, and required documentation
Requirements
Required:
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR
- Proven experience hauling equipment on step deck and flatbed trailers
- Strong knowledge of load securement for heavy and oversized loads
- Ability to operate within a day-shift, home-daily schedule
- Reliable transportation to assigned yard or dispatch location
Preferred:
- Prior oilfield or construction hauling experience
- Familiarity with southwestern PA routes and job site access
- Experience with heavy equipment loading/unloading
