Construction Billing Specialist

Position Overview

Are you an experienced billing professional with a background in construction accounting? We're looking for a detail-oriented Construction Billing Specialist to manage AIA billing, certified payroll, lien waivers, and collections for a well-established construction company. Salary: $24.00 - $34.00/hour Location: Crafton, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts | In-Person

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process AIA billing for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers to verify billing details and monitor project progress
  • Manage lien waivers and ensure compliance with state and contractual requirements
  • Calculate prevailing wage rates and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws
  • Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports for qualifying projects
  • Manage collections efforts and work with clients and project managers to resolve payment issues
  • Assist with payroll processing, cash receipt reconciliation, and city tax filings
  • Provide backup support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks

Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience processing AIA billings in construction or a related industry
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Certified Public Notary certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience with Foundation Software
  • Familiarity with prevailing wage and certified payroll compliance
