Production Operator
Position Overview
Join a global leader in PET packaging manufacturing as a Production Operator, where you'll operate state-of-the-art equipment in a 24/7 facility producing essential food and beverage packaging. Salary: $21.50 - $22.50/hour Based on Experience
Location: Donora, PA
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (2-2-3 schedule), alternating 4 weeks daylight/4 weeks nights, including weekends and holidays
Client Overview
Our client is a subsidiary of a 20+ year industry leader in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) packaging solutions, producing high-quality preforms and polymer closures for leading global brands in the food and beverage sector. They operate a modern manufacturing facility committed to precision, safety, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure safe operation and consistent product quality throughout 12-hour shifts
- Inspect preforms and closures for defects, performing quality checks to maintain compliance with standards
- Prepare, label, and pack finished products with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain clean, organized work areas while following all safety protocols and procedures
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors during shift transitions
- Identify and recommend process or safety improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of production or manufacturing experience
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to stand for 12-hour shifts and lift up to 25 lbs
- Dependable, safety-minded work ethic
- Availability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (Form I-9 required within 3 days of hire)
Preferred:
- Experience with plastic injection molding or similar automated machinery operation
