Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Pre-Construction Estimator to support commercial construction projects in the Pittsburgh market. The role focuses on accurate cost estimating, subcontractor coordination, and early project planning for complex commercial work.

Projects span healthcare, pharmaceutical, corporate, and higher-education sectors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects

• Perform quantity takeoffs and comprehensive pricing analysis

• Review drawings and specifications to clearly define scope and identify risks

• Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor bids

• Collaborate with project managers, owners, and design teams during pre-construction

• Identify value-engineering opportunities and constructability considerations

Assist with budgeting, scheduling input, and pre-construction planning

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of commercial construction experience

• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods

• Ability to work independently without training or oversight

• Experience with healthcare, higher education, corporate, or pharmaceutical projects preferred

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Salary Range: $90,000 – $125,000 (commensurate with experience)
