Project Engineer – Midstream (Oil & Gas)

Location: Canonsburg, PA
Schedule: 4 days in office/field, 1 day remote
Duration: 6-12 months +

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support midstream oil and gas projects with a strong focus on facility engineering and compressor station work. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering engineering support across the full project lifecycle, from design through execution, in an operational midstream environment.

This role requires close collaboration with operations, construction, and project management teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project engineering support for midstream facilities, including compressor stations and related infrastructure

  • Support facility design, modifications, upgrades, and expansions

  • Interface with operations, construction, vendors, and contractors to ensure project alignment

  • Review and manage engineering deliverables, drawings, and technical documentation

  • Support project execution activities including scope definition, schedules, cost estimates, and change management

  • Participate in field activities, site visits, and commissioning support as required

  • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry codes, and regulatory requirements

  • Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution


Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of Oil & Gas experience, with a strong emphasis on Midstream

  • Proven experience with facility engineering and compressor stations

  • Strong understanding of midstream operations and project execution

  • Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally

  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline preferred)

  • Prior experience supporting capital projects in an operating midstream environment

  • Experience working on brownfield projects and live facilities
