Utility System Maintenance Division Manager

Location: Corsicana, TX
Pay Rate: $28.77/hour

Dudley staffing is hiring a Utility System Maintenance Division Manager to lead and work alongside utility crews responsible for water and sewer system installation, repair, and maintenance. This is a hands-on supervisory role ideal for someone with strong technical skills and field leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews on water/sewer system repairs, installations, taps, leak repairs, and meter work

• Assist with new service connections and prepare cost estimates for new developments

• Coordinate street closures and communicate with public safety teams

• Locate utility lines and oversee contractor work for compliance

• Inspect job sites for safety and quality control

• Operate heavy equipment as needed (backhoe, dump truck, tractor)

• Maintain activity logs, reports, and project documentation

• Support budgeting and resource planning

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5+ years supervisory experience in utilities, construction, or similar work

• Must obtain within 2 years:

  • Class “C” Water Distribution License

  • Class “II” Wastewater License (TCEQ)

• Valid Texas Class “A” CDL and clean driving record

• Ability to perform heavy physical labor and work in outdoor conditions

• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication skills

Work Environment

• Indoor/outdoor work, active job sites, exposure to weather, heavy equipment, confined spaces

• Requires lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing, bending, and frequent physical activity

• On-call availability, occasional evenings/weekends

• Drug-free workplace with required pre-employment and random testing
