Overview
Our client, a leading regional distributor of municipal and environmental equipment, is seeking a Parts Specialist to support customers and service technicians in sourcing parts across multiple equipment lines. This role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to manage several requests at once, and a solid mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities
Provide customers and technicians with parts quotes, availability, and technical information.
Ensure correct parts are sourced, ordered, and delivered in a timely manner.
Process, ship, and/or deliver parts orders from inventory.
Review requisitions and invoices for accurate pricing, quantities, and part numbers.
Receive and stock incoming parts orders; maintain organized bin locations.
Reconcile open purchase orders and manage returned/warranty parts.
Maintain strong customer relationships and handle issues promptly.
Assist with cycle counts as needed.
Keep parts storage, counter, and showroom areas clean and organized.
Participate in product and process training; attend departmental meetings.
Requirements
Experience in customer service and/or sales; parts counter experience preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
Proficiency with MS Office and strong time-management skills.
