Senior Land Tech

Project Duration: 12-Month Contract
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Land Tech for a 12-month, full-time, on-site project based in Midland, TX. This role is essential to supporting the operations and development of PUF (Permanent University Fund) minerals by managing vital oil and gas agreements and ensuring accurate and compliant land records.
Essential Responsibilities:
Prepare, track, and store all oil and gas agreements related to the operation and development of PUF minerals, including Oil and Gas Leases, Drilling and Development Agreements, Production Sharing Agreements, and Contracts for Development.
Collaborate closely with Land Administration to procure agreements, gather title information, and research well production data.
Utilize contract systems and GIS tools to run reports and analyze current drilling, completion, and production activity to ensure operator compliance.
Coordinate with internal teams—such as IT, GIS, Accounting, Regulatory, and Land Administration—to maintain daily operational workflows.
Manage assignments and other documentation to maintain accurate ownership records for lessees and operators on PUF lands.
Assist with administrative tasks related to PUF land lease sales.
Support landmen with special projects and assignments as needed.
Maintain professional relationships with lessees, operators, industry groups, trade associations, and regulatory agencies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience
(Relevant experience may substitute one year of college on a year-for-year basis.)
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of directly related experience in land, contracts, or oil & gas operations.
