Job Title: GeoSCADA Administrator
Location: Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; or Midland, TX (fully onsite, Monday–Friday)

About the Role:
Our client is an operational technology and SCADA integration firm, backed by a publicly traded global parent company. It is adding an experienced administrator to own the health of a Schneider Electric Geo SCADA Expert (ClearSCADA) environment. You will keep the platform stable, secure and well documented, and you will be the go-to resource for the engineers, IT staff and field crews who depend on it. The role is open as a contract engagement or a direct-hire position for mid- to senior-level professionals.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as the primary owner of the Geo SCADA Expert (ClearSCADA) platform: setup, configuration and day-to-day upkeep
• Build and refine operator displays, alarm logic, reports and the underlying database structure
• Track platform health, diagnose faults, and keep SCADA services available with minimal downtime
• Apply OT/ICS security controls across the SCADA network and keep the environment aligned with cybersecurity requirements
• Plan and carry out patching, software updates and version upgrades
• Partner with controls engineers, IT and field technicians to keep end-to-end SCADA operations running smoothly
• Write and update configuration records, standard procedures and troubleshooting references
• Support connectivity between the SCADA host and PLCs, RTUs and other control equipment
• Maintain historian and reporting tools that feed operational data and analytics
• Train and assist SCADA users across the organization

What You Bring:

• 3+ years administering Geo SCADA Expert / ClearSCADA
• Solid grasp of SCADA system architecture and networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with DNP3, Modbus, OPC and MQTT
• Working knowledge of ICS/OT cybersecurity practices (e.g., NIST, ISA/IEC 62443)
• A track record of resolving difficult, multi-layer SCADA problems
• Clear communication and a collaborative working style

Nice to Have:

• Experience in upstream/midstream oil and gas, pipeline, or water/wastewater utility environments
• Exposure to other SCADA platforms (Ignition, AVEVA System Platform/Wonderware, CygNet)
• Familiarity with SCADAPack, ROC or Totalflow RTUs/flow computers
• Background with data historians such as AVEVA PI or Canary
• Knowledge of pipeline SCADA standards (API 1165, ISA-18.2 alarm management)
