Azure Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure within a highly regulated enterprise environment. This role will work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and identity services
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
- Support cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure
- Configure and manage networking components (virtual networks, security groups, VPNs, private connectivity)
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, threat protection, and compliance controls
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues
- Maintain clear and organized technical documentation for systems, configurations, and processes
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with a strong focus on Azure environments
- Practical experience with core cloud services (compute, storage, networking, identity)
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, load balancing)
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts
- Experience using cloud monitoring and logging tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications related to Azure cloud platforms
- Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of cloud security standards and compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting enterprise-level cloud migration projects
