ServiceNow Product Owner – IT Asset Management (SAM Pro / HAM Pro)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite Daily)

Overview
A leading financial services organization is seeking a ServiceNow Product Owner to lead and evolve its IT Asset Management (ITAM) capabilities, with a strong focus on Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro).
This role will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams, and development resources—owning the product vision, roadmap, and delivery of ServiceNow ITAM solutions. The ideal candidate combines functional expertise in IT asset management with hands-on ServiceNow experience and strong stakeholder communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the ServiceNow ITAM product roadmap, strategy, and backlog (SAM Pro & HAM Pro)
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and development teams
- Gather, define, and prioritize business and technical requirements
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint deliverables
- Drive implementation and optimization of SAM Pro and HAM Pro modules
- Ensure accurate tracking of software licensing, compliance, and hardware lifecycle management
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on license reconciliation and audit readiness
- Lead Agile ceremonies (backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews)
- Monitor KPIs and continuously improve ITAM processes and platform performance
- Ensure alignment with governance, risk, and compliance standards within a regulated environment
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in ServiceNow, with a focus on ITAM
- Hands-on experience with:
- ServiceNow SAM Pro (Software Asset Management Professional)
- ServiceNow HAM Pro (Hardware Asset Management Professional)
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst in an Agile environment
- Strong understanding of:
- Software licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, etc.)
- Hardware asset lifecycle management
- Experience writing user stories and managing product backlogs
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in regulated environments (financial services, banking, etc.) is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, CIS-ITSM, CIS-SAM, CIS-HAM)
- Experience with CMDB, ITSM, and ITOM integrations
- Familiarity with audit processes, compliance frameworks, and risk management
- Experience with data normalization and discovery tools within ServiceNow
- Background in large enterprise environments
