An established elevator OEM in the League City area is seeking an experienced Elevator Lead Specialist to oversee technical operations and provide leadership for both field and shop teams. This role is ideal for a candidate with deep elevator knowledge, electrical expertise, and hands-on programming experience who thrives in a supervisory and mentorship capacity.

This position will primarily focus on managing and training technicians, with limited travel for field inspections and project oversight. The Lead Specialist will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise day-to-day operations of elevator installation, maintenance, and repair, including temporary construction hoists.

  • Train, mentor, and schedule technicians and subcontractors to optimize team performance and service quality.

  • Provide remote technical guidance and troubleshooting support to technicians, partners, and customers.

  • Oversee project timelines, manage budgets, and ensure work aligns with contract specifications and company standards.

  • Partner with accounting to review and approve field payroll, expenses, and billing processes.

  • Build and maintain service networks across the U.S. to support installation and service initiatives.

  • Enforce safety programs, company policies, and quality standards across all teams.

  • Conduct post-project evaluations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Prepare and process service contracts, parts orders, and regulatory documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of elevator experience, preferably with exposure to QEI certification (Qualified Elevator Inspector).

  • Technical education or degree in Electrical Engineering is a strong plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator codes and regulations.

  • Proficient in reading engineering schematics and technical drawings.

  • Experience applying for licenses, permits, and coordinating inspections.

  • Solid understanding of financial principles and project profitability analysis.

  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to teamwork and safety.

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% within the U.S.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.

  • Hands-on experience with elevator programming or industrial automation systems.

  • Prior experience in mentoring or managing service technicians.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone ready to combine technical expertise with team management and project oversight. Candidates with a QEI certification, electrical background, and strong elevator experience will stand out.
