Job Title: Junior Patent (IP) Coordinator
Location: Greensboro, NC (Hybrid, transitioning to 100% remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
A well-established law firm in the Greensboro area is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Patent (IP) Coordinator to support their Intellectual Property team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in patent administration and IP law. The role begins in-office to allow for onboarding and training, with the potential to transition to fully remote work once up to speed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications with the USPTO and foreign patent offices.

  • Maintain patent docketing systems and ensure timely tracking of deadlines and filings.

  • Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and outside counsel regarding patent matters.

  • Support the IP team with administrative tasks, including document management, correspondence, and invoice tracking.

  • Help prepare reports and summaries related to patent portfolios and case statuses.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal or IP-related coursework a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; experience with IP docketing software is a plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
