Job Title: Regional Manager – Chicago Area


About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Regional Manager to oversee our Chicago-area office and lead a team of talented professionals in delivering exceptional building and engineering projects. This role combines leadership, strategy, client relationship management, and operational oversight to ensure projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Our Buildings division specializes in engineering and design services for new and existing facilities, spanning education, healthcare, government, laboratories, aviation, and municipal projects. Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required) and a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

  • Master’s degree or mechanical engineering focus is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

  • Strong familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices, including AEC risk management.

  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong client relationships with owners, architects, and engineering firms.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Oversight:

  • Lead the Chicago regional office, providing guidance and direction for all operations.

  • Drive strategic initiatives and implement improvements to processes, tools, and technology.

  • Ensure compliance with quality management standards and project delivery protocols.

Client Engagement & Business Growth:

  • Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, cost estimates, and marketing initiatives.

  • Actively resolve client concerns and maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

Project & Team Management:

  • Oversee project planning, execution, and deliverables.

  • Allocate resources efficiently and monitor regional performance metrics such as billability and budgets.

  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering engagement, collaboration, and professional growth.

Collaboration & Culture:

  • Partner with division and department leaders to support improvements, technical audits, publications, and industry participation.

  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and engaging work environment where employees feel valued and supported.
