About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on PLC Technician to support our production lines in a fast-paced food & beverage environment. This role focuses on practical PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system optimization on the factory floor. If you have experience with bottling or production machinery and enjoy solving real-time equipment challenges, this position is a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC Programming & Maintenance:
Develop, test, and fine-tune PLC programs for equipment such as filling lines, labeling machines, and conveyors.
Ensure machines operate efficiently and minimize downtime.
System Integration:
Connect PLC systems with HMI/SCADA and Ethernet networks for live process monitoring and control.
Facilitate machine-to-machine communication using protocols like Ethernet/IP, Modbus, or Profibus.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues in PLC-controlled systems.
Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
Equipment Commissioning & Upgrades:
Assist in setting up and commissioning new machinery.
Implement system upgrades to improve production efficiency and meet changing demands.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of PLC programs, modifications, and maintenance actions.
Ensure programming and operations comply with FDA, OSHA, and industry safety standards.
Collaboration & Training:
Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to achieve operational goals.
Train team members in basic PLC operation and troubleshooting techniques.
Install conduits, raceways, and wiring as part of system setup and maintenance.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Electrical Engineering or Automation Technical Certification preferred.
2–5 years of hands-on PLC programming experience, ideally in the food or beverage industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent.
Experience with process control systems, including CIP (Clean-In-Place) and SIP (Sterilization-In-Place).
Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, or motion control is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
