Title: Remote SCADA (Cygnet) Developer

Location: 100% Remote

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented SCADA (Cygnet) Developer to join our team on a temporary-to-hire basis. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with a leading oil & gas owner/operator client, contributing to the development and maintenance of SCADA systems critical to our operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cygnet SCADA development, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and design SCADA solutions using Cygnet software.
2. Develop, configure, and customize SCADA applications and interfaces to meet project specifications and operational needs.
3. Integrate SCADA systems with other software and hardware components, including PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs.
4. Design and implement data acquisition strategies, protocols, and communication interfaces for real-time monitoring and control of oil & gas assets.
5. Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance of SCADA applications.
6. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving issues and implementing enhancements as needed.
7. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines for knowledge sharing and future reference.
8. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to SCADA development and automation in the oil & gas sector.
9. Adhere to project timelines and milestones, communicating progress and challenges to project stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications or equivalent experience may be considered.
2. Proven experience in SCADA development using Cygnet software in the oil & gas industry.
3. Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, .NET, SQL, and PowerShell.
4. Experience with SCADA protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC) and communication interfaces (e.g., Ethernet/IP, serial).
5. Familiarity with oil & gas industry standards and regulatory requirements related to SCADA systems and automation.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
8. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Availability to work remotely on a full-time basis and willingness to travel occasionally for project meetings or site visits.
