Controls Engineer
Location: Central Oregon (Relocation Assistance Available)
Full-Time | Direct Hire

An established and growing engineering consulting firm in Central Oregon is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automation professional to work on a variety of high-impact projects across multiple industries. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates open to making the move.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, programming, and integration of industrial control systems across a range of industries, including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing.

  • Develop and implement solutions using Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs; experience with Modicon and Beckhoff is a strong plus.

  • Design and deploy HMI/SCADA systems using Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, and Ignition platforms.

  • Configure SQL databases and develop custom reports to support manufacturing intelligence and operational visibility.

  • Implement and troubleshoot VFDs and motion control applications.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet project scope and client expectations.

  • Travel up to 10% for site commissioning, client meetings, and system support.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems integration or industrial automation.

  • Proficiency with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC platforms is required.

  • Hands-on experience with SCADA/HMI systems such as Wonderware, FactoryTalkView, and Ignition.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL database development, data collection, and reporting.

  • Proven experience with VFD configuration and motion applications.

  • Exposure to regulated environments (GAMP, pharmaceutical, or food & beverage) preferred.

  • Robotics integration experience is a plus.

  • Relevant certifications in Ignition, Rockwell, Siemens, or Wonderware are highly preferred.
