Controls Engineer
Location: Central Oregon (Relocation Assistance Available)
Full-Time | Direct Hire
An established and growing engineering consulting firm in Central Oregon is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled automation professional to work on a variety of high-impact projects across multiple industries. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates open to making the move.
Lead the design, programming, and integration of industrial control systems across a range of industries, including food & beverage, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing.
Develop and implement solutions using Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs; experience with Modicon and Beckhoff is a strong plus.
Design and deploy HMI/SCADA systems using Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, and Ignition platforms.
Configure SQL databases and develop custom reports to support manufacturing intelligence and operational visibility.
Implement and troubleshoot VFDs and motion control applications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet project scope and client expectations.
Travel up to 10% for site commissioning, client meetings, and system support.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems integration or industrial automation.
Proficiency with Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC platforms is required.
Hands-on experience with SCADA/HMI systems such as Wonderware, FactoryTalkView, and Ignition.
Strong knowledge of SQL database development, data collection, and reporting.
Proven experience with VFD configuration and motion applications.
Exposure to regulated environments (GAMP, pharmaceutical, or food & beverage) preferred.
Robotics integration experience is a plus.
Relevant certifications in Ignition, Rockwell, Siemens, or Wonderware are highly preferred.
