Job Title: Intune/Purview Security Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Intune/Purview Security Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX, on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft Intune and Purview, with a strong focus on security engineering. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security solutions to protect our organization's data and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and deploy Microsoft Intune solutions to manage and secure mobile devices and applications.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions to ensure data governance and compliance.
- Develop security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and assets.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate security measures across systems and applications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Intune and Purview-related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in security engineering and Microsoft technologies.
- Train and mentor junior staff on Intune and Purview functionalities and security practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to security incidents and compliance efforts.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Intune and Purview.
- Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, etc.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals are a plus.
