Position Title: IT Project Manager / Scrum Master

Location: Phoenix, AZ (On-Site/Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview

A client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager / Scrum Master to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This individual will play a key role in leading IT infrastructure initiatives while driving Agile delivery practices across cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of project management discipline, Scrum leadership, and financial acumen, with proven experience managing budgets and delivering complex IT infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects (networks, systems, cloud, and enterprise platforms)
• Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams, facilitating ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.)
• Partner with stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking
• Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, and proactively drive resolution
• Ensure alignment between Agile delivery practices and traditional project management governance
• Track and report on project progress, KPIs, and financial performance to leadership
• Drive continuous improvement across Agile processes and team performance

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management and/or Scrum Master roles
• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects (servers, networks, cloud, etc.)
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, financials, and forecasting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within financial services or highly regulated industries

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
• PMP or similar project management certification
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or MS Project
• Exposure to hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments
