Position: Industrial HMI Designer & Developer
Location: Greater Chicago Area (Onsite/Hybrid)

Partner with customer project engineers and internal automation teams to design and build HMI systems that control automated production lines.
Develop HMI applications using platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, and Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk for both new installations and system enhancements.
Perform thorough testing and simulation of HMI solutions before deployment.
Support field deployment of HMI terminals, including making on-site screen modifications during commissioning and startup phases.
Configure communication links between HMI servers and PLC networks to ensure seamless data flow.
Willingness to travel overnight for field assignments (estimated 15–20%).
Technical associate degree or equivalent certification.
At least 3 years of industrial experience developing and deploying HMI systems, especially with Wonderware, Ignition, and FactoryTalk SE & ME platforms.
Basic understanding of IT networking concepts.
Familiarity with high-performance graphical design principles, such as those outlined in ISA-101.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Dedication to quality and accuracy from the outset.
Valid driver’s license to support travel requirements.
Experience working with Studio 5000 or other ladder logic PLC programming environments.
Knowledge of scripting or database languages like Python or SQL.
Certifications related to Ignition software.
Understanding of OPC UA communication protocols and server configurations.
Background in graphic design or technical documentation.
Experience with WinCC or FactoryTalk Optix development.
