Job Title: Logistics/Freight Sales Manager


Our client is a reputable logistics company located in the Galena Park area. With a focus on providing efficient freight and Less than Truckload (LTL) services, they are committed to delivering exceptional logistics solutions to their clients. They are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as a Freight Sales Manager.

Galena Park/Pasadena, Texas

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership:

    • Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and objectives.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the company's customer base and increase revenue.
    • Provide guidance and support to sales team members, assisting them in prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  2. Business Development:

    • Identify new business opportunities and target markets for freight and LTL services.
    • Cultivate relationships with potential clients and key stakeholders in the transportation industry.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
  3. Process Improvement:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies in the freight sales process and implement solutions to streamline operations.
    • Identify areas for process improvement and optimization to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Implement best practices and standardized procedures to improve the overall sales process.
  4. Client Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Address client inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations on freight and LTL services.
  5. Team Building and Development:

    • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members as needed.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to sales staff to support their professional growth and development.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on achieving collective goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in freight sales, with experience selling LTL services preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Prior experience in process improvement or operations optimization is a plus.
