Business Development Representative – Chicago Market IT Staffing (Hybrid)
About the Role
A fast-growing staffing firm is seeking an ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive new client acquisition and expand existing accounts. This is a high-impact role for a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, generating revenue, and opening doors to long-term client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities through calls, emails, networking, and social media outreach.
- Grow existing accounts by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with hiring leaders, HR, and executives to understand staffing needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Partner with recruiters and delivery teams to ensure a seamless, high-quality client experience.
- Manage and track pipeline activity, sales metrics, and revenue targets through CRM tools.
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals with new clients.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of B2B sales or staffing industry experience (staffing/consulting preferred).
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets in a full-cycle business development role.
- Strong prospecting skills, including cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and networking.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Highly motivated, organized, and results-driven with a passion for sales success.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required with equivalent experience.
