Senior Quadient DeveloperJob Type : Remote ( Need Local candidates in Montreal Canada )
Experience required : 5 to 7 years
Role type : Full time
Key responsibilities:
• Analyze client requirements and turn them into technical solutions in Inspire Designer, then orchestrate production in Inspire Scaler.
• Integrate applications with other systems using APIs, databases and structured files (JSON, XML, CSV).
• Produce the data needed downstream, such as counts, piece tracking and integrity barcodes for print and insertion.
• Migrate existing applications to new standards in phases, with the testing needed to keep production running.
• Build reusable components so that new clients can be set up through configuration rather than new code.
• Review applications as a whole to group common code, remove duplication and optimize performance.
• Analyze, debug and fix programs, including during production incidents.
• Manage several projects at once while staying within estimated hours and deadlines.
Leadership:
• Lead projects and squads from analysis through to production.
• Do code reviews, document solutions and help our programming standards evolve.
• Suggest improvements to processes, standard templates and team tools.
• Mentor less experienced developers and share knowledge.
Required qualifications:
• Solid experience with Inspire Designer and Inspire Scaler, and a strong understanding of workflow structure (Data Input, Data Processing, Layout, Imposition, Output)
• Scripting in Inspire, and JavaScript and Groovy in Scaler
• Programming experience in Java and at least one other language
• Experience integrating with other systems (REST APIs, web services) and good SQL skills
• Experience migrating applications without disrupting production
• Experience with Quadient Interactive or cloud platforms is an asset
• Experience in high-volume print, inserting or mail integrity is an asset
