Senior Project / Program Manager
Nearshore (Ecuador preferred)
3-month contract
Position Summary
As a Senior Project / Program Manager, you will lead the planning, governance, and delivery of a portfolio of technology initiatives supporting Corporate Finance, Treasury, Capital Markets, Trading, Accounting, and related operations. You will partner with business leaders, Product Managers, Technology Leads, Data, Risk, Compliance, and vendors to deliver solutions across platforms such as Workday, FIS, TPG, and Bloomberg, including integrations supporting whole loan sales, warehouse management, financial reporting, and treasury operations. You will own delivery from intake and planning through implementation, change management, release, and stabilization, using disciplined governance, pragmatic delivery methods, and clear executive communication.
Responsibilities & Duties
Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent projects and program workstreams; define scope, milestones, schedules, budgets, resources, and measurable outcomes.
Build and maintain integrated plans, dependency maps, critical paths, RAID logs, decision logs, and governance cadences across business, technology, data, and vendor teams.
Partner with Finance Business Owners and Product Managers to translate business objectives into prioritized roadmaps, requirements, acceptance criteria, and release plans.
Apply the appropriate delivery method (agile, waterfall, or hybrid) and coordinate solution design, configuration, integrations, data migration, testing/UAT, deployment, hypercare, and operational handoff.
Manage vendor delivery, including SOW and milestone alignment, deliverable quality, dependencies, performance, issue resolution, and escalation.
Provide executive-ready reporting on accomplishments, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, budget, capacity, change impacts, release readiness, and overall delivery health.
Establish business and release readiness plans, including communications, training, cutover, go/no-go criteria, support models, runbooks, and post-implementation reviews.
Coordinate run-the-business intake for finance systems, including incidents, defects, enhancements, and requests; support triage, prioritization, capacity planning, and communications.
Ensure delivery aligns with architecture, information security, data governance, SOX/audit controls, and change-management standards; use Jira, Confluence, KPI dashboards, AI, and automation responsibly to improve predictability and transparency.
Required Experience, Skills, & Competencies
7+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Technical Program Manager, or Delivery Lead managing enterprise technology initiatives; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience delivering financial systems, treasury, capital markets, trading, accounting, or enterprise finance platform initiatives.
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, vendors, and critical paths.
Strong understanding of the systems delivery lifecycle, integrations, data conversion, testing/UAT, release management, operational readiness, and change management.
Experience partnering with business and technology leaders to set priorities, resolve tradeoffs, manage change, and drive timely decisions through strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Experience operating in a regulated or audited environment with strong documentation, control, and governance discipline.
Advanced proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or comparable project/portfolio tools, including dashboards and executive reporting.
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Plus)
PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, CSM/PSM, SAFe, or comparable project/program management certification.
Experience in lending or mortgage operations, including whole loan sales, warehouse lines, and treasury/capital markets workflows.
Familiarity with Workday Financials, FIS, TPG, Bloomberg, or comparable finance and treasury platforms.
Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, data platforms, reporting solutions, SaaS/ERP implementations, and AI-enabled delivery tools.
