Role: QA Engineer - Manual Testing
Location: Nearshore (Ecuador/Colombia), Remote
Experience: 6-8 Years
Role Overview
We are seeking a QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience to validate enterprise applications
across functional, integration and regression scenarios.
You will work closely with product, engineering and business teams to ensure releases are stable,
traceable and ready for production use.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Create and execute test cases based on requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing across application workflows.
- Validate UI, API and data-driven scenarios with clear evidence and defect documentation.
Defect Management
- Log, triage, retest and track defects through closure.
- Work with developers and business stakeholders to clarify expected behavior and edge cases.
- Maintain test execution status, defect metrics and release readiness inputs.
Collaboration & Quality
- Participate in sprint planning, daily reviews, demos and release checkpoints.
- Support UAT preparation and provide clear test summaries for stakeholders.
Required Technical Skills & Competencies
6+ years of QA experience with strong manual testing background.
Strong understanding of STLC, test case design, defect lifecycle and regression planning.
Experience testing web applications, APIs and data-driven workflows.
Ability to understand requirements and convert them into testable scenarios.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Good to Have
Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
Experience with Agile delivery, Jira/Azure DevOps and test management tools.
Exposure to accessibility, security or performance testing concepts.
Must-Have Skills
Strong manual testing and regression testing experience.
Ability to write clear test cases and defect reports.
Experience validating enterprise web applications.
Comfortable working with distributed Agile teams.
