CloudOps Engineer
Remote (Ecuador)
Contract
The CloudOps team is responsible for the stability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of Client's cloud platforms and production environments. We partner closely with Engineering, Security, Support, and Product to keep customer-facing systems healthy, automate repeatable operations, and continuously raise the bar on reliability and operational excellence. This role is part of a collaborative, improvement-minded team that values clear communication, documentation, and pragmatic problem-solving.
About The Role:
We are seeking a CloudOps Engineer to support our Cloud Operations team. In this role, you will contribute to the strategic direction and execution of our cloud initiatives, ensuring the health and reliability of our production environments while driving transformational change.
Primary Objectives:
Support the reliability, performance, and security of cloud‑based infrastructure
Assist in managing production and non‑production environments
Contribute to infrastructure automation and standardization using Infrastructure as Code
Help ensure SLA compliance and adherence to security and data‑handling policies
What You Will Be Doing:
Deploy, manage, and support cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on AWS and Terraform
Maintain application infrastructure supporting customer‑facing systems
Assist in modernizing and improving legacy infrastructure using cloud‑native services
Support production and non‑production environments for deployment, testing, and troubleshooting
Participate in an on-call rotation to support production systems and incident response as needed
Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and application issues related to performance, reliability, and scalability
Follow established change management and operational procedures
Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational guidelines
Monitor systems using observability tools and escalate issues as needed
Collaborate closely with CloudOps, Engineering, and other teams to support platform stability
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
2–4 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related role
Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP acceptable)
Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform experience strongly preferred)
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic)
Understanding of basic security best practices in cloud environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly with teammates

Exposure to re‑architecting or improving existing infrastructure
AWS certifications or active progress toward certification
