Job Title: Testing Lead – MMIS
Location: On-site, Pierre, South Dakota
Duration: 12 months (June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2027) with possible extensions

Job Summary
The Testing Lead will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing testing activities for enhancements and development within the Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, and IT staff to ensure system quality, compliance, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage testing efforts with project leads and IT teams
Design, develop, and document comprehensive test cases and scenarios
Analyze system impacts across interconnected systems and business processes
Execute test scenarios, track defects, and support remediation efforts
Collaborate with stakeholders to validate system functionality and business requirements
Maintain knowledge of business areas, workflows, and system dependencies
Support research, planning, development, and implementation of system changes driven by:
Federal regulations
State mandates
Policy updates
Lead and facilitate project-related meetings
Document testing activities and prepare detailed reports on findings

Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience working with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS)
Strong experience in software testing (test case creation, execution, defect tracking)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret policies, regulations, and technical documentation
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (business + IT)
Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in government or public sector projects
Knowledge of healthcare systems and Medicaid processes
Experience leading testing efforts or QA teams
Familiarity with system integration testing across multiple platforms

Ability to build effective working relationships
Leadership and facilitation skills for meetings and discussions
