Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior WordPress/website developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress architecture, extensive experience in custom theme and plugin development and a proven track record of building and maintaining complex WordPress websites. You will play a crucial role in maintaining/building the website with custom WordPress pages, maintaining high performance ratings on technical performance audit websites and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable and secure WordPress solutions for the company. Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain a high-performance, scalable and secure WordPress website
• Lead and execute complex WordPress development projects
• Develop and implement custom WordPress pages
• Serve as an expert on WordPress themes, plugins and integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, working closely with designers, project managers and other developers to deliver exceptional results
• Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and technologies, including researching and implementing new techniques and tools to improve development processes and website performance
• Implement and maintain robust version control practices, utilizing Git and other version control tools effectively
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to consistently ensure the quality and stability of the website and the WordPress CMS
• Contribute to the development of project documentation and technical specifications
• Handle server-side tasks and deployments
• In collaboration with other team members, implement strong SEO best practices
• Support the development of a website dashboard and ensure accurate reporting on website stability, security and performance

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in WordPress development
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience with PHP, MySQL and working with databases
• Familiarity with website hosting environments and server-side technologies (Apache, Nginx, etc.)
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, core functions and best practices
• Extensive experience in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Proficiency in using WP-CLI and other command-line tools
• Experience with performance optimization and security best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with deployment procedures and server management
• Experience with optimizing a website to improve overall performance

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi)
• Experience with WooCommerce development and customization
• Experience in creating headless WordPress sites
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
• WordPress-related certifications and/or documented contributions to the WordPress community
