Position Overview:
We are looking for a Provia ViaWare WMS Version 5.5 (Now an Infor company Product) Support Analyst to provide functional and technical support for our warehouse management operations. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring smooth system operations by analyzing issues, documenting findings, and coordinating with database administrators and developers for resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the first point of contact for Provia ViaWare WMS-related issues within warehouse and logistics operations.
• Debug and analyze system issues by reviewing log files and running queries to identify potential root causes.
• Document issues clearly with detailed findings and submit to the DBA or development team for further action.
• Collaborate with operations, IT, and vendor teams to ensure timely resolution of system incidents.
• Assist in validating fixes and enhancements, ensuring they align with business and operational needs.
• Maintain a knowledge base of known issues, resolutions, and best practices for operational staff.
• Support system updates, patches, and upgrades by conducting functional testing and reporting results.
• Provide guidance and basic training to warehouse and transportation staff to improve system adoption and reduce recurring issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Explicit experience with ViaWare version 5.x or 5.5 legacy ViaWare / Provia WMS version 5.5”
• Experience reading older log file formats, older database schema from that version.
• Familiarity with Oracle DB versions that were common at the time ViaWare 5.5 was in use. Ability to run and review Oracle SQL queries for issue analysis.
• Ability to work without always having up-to-date documentation (because with older systems documentation tends to be spotty).
• Comfort with debugging, reverse engineering, or maintaining/dealing with legacy interfaces or customizations.
• Strong documentation and communication skills to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for business teams.
• Self-starter who can hit the ground running with proactive problem-solving mindset and with the ability to work across operations and IT teams.
• Strong understanding of logistics and transportation industry processes.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Familiarity with C++ and 4GL coding for understanding system customizations.
• No Coding Skills are required, but ability to read C++ and 4GL code is nice to have
• Knowledge of warehouse automation systems, ERP or TMS integrations.
• Experience in incident tracking and ticketing systems
