We are seeking a Computer Systems Analyst Senior with 10+ years’ experience for Department of Defense program onsite at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in Ridgecrest, CA. and/or Point Mugu Naval Base in Camarillo, CA. Responsibilities
Functional Description:
Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems
Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
May analyze or recommend commercially available software
Responsibilities:
Senior level person typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently
A Senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
Develop and run algorithms
Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve software or computer systems
Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations
May analyze or recommend commercially available software
Reviews program plans for specific weapons systems, sub-systems, and equipment or information technology systems
Working at the customer's site with government personnel to ensure program success
Qualifications
10+ years of experience performing the duties described in the Functional Description and Responsibilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer and organizational level communications, both formal and informal.
Ability to work independently; self-starter.
Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
EDUCATION
Degree: MA/MS degree in a Computer, Information Science field, Mathematics or a relevant technical discipline.
Allowable Substitution: Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years additional work experience may be substituted for a Master’s Degree.
CLEARANCE
Condition of Employment: Applicant must have an active DoD Secret Level Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
CITIZENSHIP
