Job Description

The Infrastructure Project Manager serves as the modernization integrator for the Information Technology organization. This role leads enterprise-level orchestration of the technology portfolio across infrastructure, security, cloud, and enterprise systems, ensuring investments are strategically sequenced, risk-aligned, and execution-ready.
Moving beyond traditional project management, this position is responsible for portfolio orchestration, risk-based prioritization, AI-assisted portfolio analytics, automation of reporting, and cross-domain governance integration. The Project Manager ensures alignment between the AI infrastructure roadmap, cloud posture strategy, enterprise resilience initiatives, and broader modernization efforts.

This role partners closely with Infrastructure, Security, Application Development, QA, Procurement, Finance, and Enterprise Risk to deliver a cohesive, forward-looking technology strategy that strengthens operational resilience and enables scalable modernization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate and maintain the enterprise technology portfolio, ensuring strategic sequencing of infrastructure, security, cloud, and modernization initiatives.
  • Implement risk-based prioritization models aligned with enterprise risk posture and business objectives.
  • Identify cross-program dependencies, resource constraints, and architectural impacts to ensure coordinated delivery.
  • Provide forward-looking capacity modeling and scenario planning across technology domains.
  • Deliver executive-level portfolio reporting and insights to the CIO and IT leadership.
  • Lead strategic sequencing of infrastructure upgrades, cloud transformations, security initiatives, and enterprise platform investments.
  • Align initiatives to long-term architectural roadmaps and modernization goals.
  • Coordinate legacy system modernization efforts with application development and QA readiness.
  • Ensure modernization initiatives are aligned with business continuity and operational resilience objectives.
  • Align infrastructure and platform initiatives with the enterprise AI roadmap.
  • Ensure foundational capabilities (data, compute, security, governance) support AI-enabled operations.
  • Partner with technology leadership to assess readiness for emerging technologies and automation initiatives.
  • Portfolio analytics into prioritization, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Coordinate cloud strategy alignment across security, compliance, cost optimization, and architecture.
  • Ensure cloud posture governance is embedded into portfolio planning and sequencing.
  • Track cloud transformation milestones and ensure integration with enterprise resilience objectives.
  • Collaborate with Security to maintain alignment with NIST and applicable governance frameworks.
  • Integrate IT portfolio activities with Enterprise Risk Management processes.
  • Track and report progress against the Enterprise Resilience Roadmap.
  • Embed resilience considerations into project sequencing and funding decisions.
  • Coordinate risk tracking and mitigation strategies across infrastructure and security initiatives.
  • Support audit readiness, assessments, testing activities, and remediation transparency.
  • Design and implement automation for portfolio reporting, dashboards, and executive analytics.
  • Reduce manual reporting through workflow standardization and tool optimization.
  • Leverage AI-assisted analytics to enhance predictive risk modeling, resource planning, and decision support.
  • Continuously improve project management standards, templates, and governance processes.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities for the customer experience

Required Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to orchestrate complex, cross-functional technology initiatives aligned to enterprise modernization goals.
  • Experience applying risk-informed prioritization models within enterprise technology environments.
  • Highly curious, and a desire for continuous improvement of the customer experience.

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure modernization, cloud posture management, and security frameworks (e.g., NIST).
  • Experience leveraging automation and AI-assisted analytics to enhance reporting, governance, and portfolio insights.
  • Ability to translate technical sequencing, risk posture, and modernization strategy into clear executive-level reporting.
  • Experience managing vendor performance, contracts, and technology investment tracking.

Education, Experience, and Technical Skills Required:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience leading complex technology programs, infrastructure initiatives, or enterprise portfolios.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating security, infrastructure, and cloud initiatives into a unified governance model.
  • Experience with modernization initiatives, digital transformation, or enterprise resilience programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with NIST or comparable governance frameworks required.
  • governance and security frameworks (e.g., NIST) preferred but not primary focus.
