Business Systems Analyst
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to lead the analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing support of business applications. This role partners closely with stakeholders across the organization to align technology solutions with strategic goals and optimize operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across departments to identify needs and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Gather and document business and functional requirements, translating them into detailed specifications for development teams.
  • Analyze existing systems and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and enhanced efficiency.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support technology investment decisions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and IT teams, ensuring technical solutions meet business needs and user expectations.
  • Provide daily functional support and troubleshooting for business applications.
  • Participate in multiple concurrent projects, contributing to all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen to resolve complex issues and propose data-driven, process-focused solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 8–10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a related role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with SS&C Chorus (formerly AWD) — this is required.
  • Experience with business process management (BPM) tools; Blue Prism experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of system analysis, design, and implementation methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of programming concepts to interpret and understand code.
  • Proven ability to create innovative business and technical solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, synthesize, and present findings to influence decision-making.

Note: This position directly supports back-office business operations that are heavy users of SS&C Chorus. Candidates without Chorus BPM experience will not be considered.
