Agile Transformation Leader
Role Summary
The Agile Transformation Leader will be instrumental in advancing our Agile transformation, supporting development and execution of a firmwide strategy that aims to improve organizational agility and optimize our service delivery approach. Serving as a subject matter expert, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to mature Agile disciplines, drive adoption across domains, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This initiative is a key strategic priority for the firm and critical for us to achieve greater efficiency, innovation, and adaptability across global operations.
Responsibilities
• Baseline Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of current processes, culture, and practices at the domain level to identify Agile transformation opportunities.
• Agile Transformation Design: Develop and implement a tailored transformation strategy that improves organizational agility, practices, and standards across business and technology teams.
• Agile Product Taxonomy Development: Lead the development and implementation of product hierarchies across priority domains to strengthen product ownership, drive business-IT alignment, and enhance clarity in product categorization and management.
• Operating Model Development: Develop recommendations to optimize organizational constructs to support Agile practices and ensure effective collaboration. Develop a skills framework for technology leaders to evaluate competencies, supporting repeatable processes for talent planning and staffing product tribes and squads.
• Career Progression Pathways: Collaborate with HR partners to re-design career pathways, nurturing the development of distinctive technologists, product owners, and talent within Agile teams.
• Change Management: Partner with change management leaders on organizational change strategies that promote agile values, principles, and practices.
• Training & Workshops: Design and facilitate educational sessions and workshops to empower teams and individuals. Provide hands-on coaching to squads, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other relevant stakeholders, cultivating Agile skills and mindsets.
Responsibilities (Cont.)
• Agile Metrics and Reporting: Agile Metrics and Reporting: Establish KPIs and metrics to measure adoption success, working with program managers in the Transformation Office to develop routine progress updates for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Community & Culture: Design and contribute to Agile communities (cohorts, circles, etc.) to support continuous learning and foster a Lean-Agile mindset across domain-based product teams. Foster communities of practice with a culture of experimentation, inspection, and adaption to promote different mindsets and ways of working
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, computer science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, with a proven track record of driving strategy and execution of Agile transformations in large, complex organizations, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or Agile Certified Coach (ACC) are highly desirable.
• In-depth understanding of agile principles, values, and frameworks (e.g., Lean-Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), with the ability to tailor them to organizational needs.
• Experience as a Scrum Master or Product Owner, with domain expertise in relevant areas preferred.
• Strong coaching and facilitation skills, capable of effectively guiding individuals, teams, and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with senior executives and stakeholders.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise-wide strategies, conducting assessments, and providing strategic recommendations for process improvement and organizational change.
