Job Description

We are looking for a customer-focused self-motivated Pre-sales Engineer for Airport Tower, Advanced Air Mobility, and Maritime who actively supports Client’s customers and the sales team with his or her technical product and domain know-how and thereby guarantees cost efficient, technically feasible solutions. 

The Pre-Sales Engineer is capable of designing solutions based on Client’s products capabilities and customer requirements. The Pre-Sales Engineer understands customer technical requirements and defines solutions that accurately address those needs, presents technical solutions to customers, and prepares associated white papers and proposals. The Pre-Sales Engineer will coordinate and collaborate with sales, offer management, engineering, project management, and product teams. 

Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties: 

  • Design technical solutions that solve customer problems 
  • Responsible for solution cost 
  • Secures input from required stakeholders within the customer’s organization and adapts company solutions as necessary 
  • Develops solutions with the customer, the sales team, in coordination with product management 
  • Proactively assembles the technical solution required to address customer requirements and delivers technical customer presentations and demonstrations articulately and confidently 
  • Prepares technical solution description and feasibility studies 
  • Analysis competitor solutions and provide vital input to our product teams to develop our solution further 
  • Coordinates closely with offer management and engineering to align solution design with customers’ requirements and Client standard offerings. 
  • Coordinates all information and project requirements to engineering and program management personnel for accurate implementation 
  • Responds to tender documents, writes proposals, reports, white papers and other documents 
  • Prioritizes efforts based on maximizing team productivity and profit 
  • Contributes actively to the definition of new Client product features 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

  • Four year college degree from an accredited institution 
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar role 
  • Strong IT (hardware and software) technology background 
  • Ability to learn array of company products, services and system architectures adequately to apply to customer goals and requirements 
  • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills 
  • Domestic and occasional international travel required 
  • Prior domain knowledge 

Special Notations or Conditions of Employment: 

  • Some travel may be required 
  • Customer sites, trade shows, conferences 
  • International travel 
  • Finger printing and job-related background check may be required 
  • Must be authorized to work in United States and obtain clearances to work on Government sites
