JOB TITLE:
Systems / Network Support Engineer
LOCATION:
Aberdeen, MD
This is a client facing role with company car available. Typical week would be 3 days in office or at client site 2 days from home.
DESCRIPTION:
Compass Pointe has partnered with a client that is seeking an IT Support Engineer. In this role you will implement solutions like O365, Servers, Firewalls, Monitoring Software, AntiSpam and provide escalated support to small-to-mid size businesses like Attorney Office, Architectural Firms, etc. .
A Sampling of duties includes:
- Plan, design and implement projects in a virtualized Microsoft Windows environment.
- Install, configure and test network hardware and software required for installation.
- Maintain an efficient and secure IT infrastructure for medium sized networks.
- Provide remote and onsite support for help desk escalations and project work.
To be successful; you should possess most of the following:
- 5+ years experience working for an IT consultant firm or have provided support to external clients.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies like Office 365, Azure, Hyper-V, VMware
- Understanding of Servers and Network equipment.
- Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, VPN, LAN, WAN, DNS, and Firewalls
- Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication
- Understanding of Microsoft Windows and Exchange Server
- Clean driving record (will drive Company car to client sites as needed)
- Passion for technology and to keep up to date on emerging technologies
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Security+ or Network+.
