Job Description

Compass Pointe Consulting LLC, is a Maryland based, Woman Owned Small Business specializing in IT and Finance & Accounting Solutions and Services is looking for Appian Business Systems Analyst to work 100% REMOTE. Due to the nature of the work MUST be a US CITIZEN and perform the work within the USA. The Appian Business Systems Analyst with knowledge of Agile principles and Jira and will assist in gathering requirements for an important Engineering initiative.

• An Agile business analyst's primary responsibility is to analyze, and document business requirements in the form of user stories.
• Knowledge of Appian required.
• Must be well-versed with the Scrum framework and understand the role of Agile business analyst and hands-on JIRA and Confluence
• Experience in solving complex business problems with both qualitative and quantitative analytic skills. Specific experience in Appian
Business Process Management (BPM) or reengineering efforts a plus
• Experience with Appian BPM tool. Experience with using JIRA Experience modeling and developing processes within Jira, Appian.
• Support the facilitation of discovery sessions across multiple businesses and IT stakeholders.
• Engages with cross-functional teams to develop business requirements in user stories, detailed acceptance criteria, use cases, and
process mapping.
• Coordinates with the business and the team to identify and provide support for solution designs related to production issues and
• Must have extensive experience in writing user stories and detailing out acceptance criteria.
• Must have experience working with low-code Business Process Management (BPM) software – Appian.
• Experience working with Cross-functional flowcharts for process mapping
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Influence SMEs toward change, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate strong collaboration across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent oral and written communications.
• Experience in business analysis/ process improvement and large-scale transformation.
• Ability to be a team player, learn new skillsets & technologies, work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing requirements
• Self-starter, driven to see projects through to completion and achieve the desired impact
• Strong personal and interactive skills with all levels of stakeholders from line worker to management
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
