Our client is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support its Purchasing Department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the coordination of residential construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain vendor documentation, including onboarding packets and qualification records.
- Assist with pricing requests, updates, and tracking changes.
- Update and manage vendor lists and product/feature documentation for active projects.
- Coordinate and distribute design changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure construction plans and related materials are current and properly organized.
- Prepare and maintain project binders and supporting documentation.
- Process purchase orders, change orders, and notices to proceed.
- Create and maintain contract files and purchasing records.
- Research and resolve invoice or purchase order discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of bid packages.
- Provide general administrative and organizational support to the purchasing team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6–12 months of related administrative, purchasing, or construction experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar administrative tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
