Job Description

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Part-Time Physician (MD or DO) to join their team in the Boyertown/Reading, PA area. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care in a supportive, collaborative environment. The schedule is flexible, with part-time hours and the potential for future expansion as their practice grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate primary care services, including comprehensive and focused physical examinations, health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.

  • Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure, arthritis, COPD, and thyroid disorders.

  • Assess the need for appropriate lab tests, order and interpret results.

  • Collaborate with medical specialties through appropriate referrals.

  • Coordinate community resources to meet patient and family needs and ensure appropriate follow-up.

  • Educate patients on health promotion and wellness throughout the aging process.

  • Establish and monitor appropriate levels of care for patients.

  • Complete all medical record documentation promptly.

  • Work with the Medical Director to ensure operations comply with professional standards of care.

  • Recommend potential growth opportunities for new or existing services.

  • Participate in quality management processes and mentor clinical support staff.

  • Communicate with patients as needed following visits to ensure well-being.

  • Provide guidance to other medical personnel and center colleagues in the absence of the Medical Director.

Qualifications:

  • Current, clear, and active license to practice medicine (MD or DO) in Pennsylvania.

  • Experience in primary care is preferred; geriatric certification or background in behavioral health/psychiatric medicine is a plus.

  • Eligible to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clinical teams, and independently. 

  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms, billing systems, coding standards, and care coordination programs is desired.

  • A few years of relevant clinical experience preferred; new graduates not ideal.

  • Excellent English communication skills.

  • Must successfully complete light background and reference checks.
